easter bunny

Happy Easter everyone!

Awwww look, Ender wants to give you a hug!

snowpocalypse warrior

We had a gigantic snow storm not too long ago. Ender had just learned from Mommy how to eat snow, and couldn't resist the all you can eat buffet of tasty New Jersey snow on the sidewalks outside of our building.

It took Ender a while to accept that snowflakes were going to keep hittng him in the face no matter how hard he glared at the storm.

Not only did Ender learn how to make snowballs, he learned how to throw snowballs. He ate as many snowballs as he threw, thus diminishing his status as a fearsome winter warrior.

His aim sucks, but what he lacks in accuracy he makes up for in appetite.

It's not the size of your snowball that matters, it's your aim that counts the most. Unfortunately for Ender, daddy not only makes bigger snowballs, but can throw them a lot better.

The remnants of Daddy's snowball piled on Ender's head, and the remnants of Ender's snowball melting in his mouth.

Some video of the hungry winter warrior.

actual-size yoda

We bought Ender's Halloween costume about a year before he was conceived. He was too small to wear it last Halloween, but after years of waiting, our little man finally became a little green man for Halloween!

Ender is very suspicious of our talking "Magic 8-Ball" Yoda. It's not a fully animatronic toy, so he's not totally freaked out by it, but he senses a great disturbance in the Force.

Happier now that the toy Yoda gone it is!

The young Padawan at his school, learning the ways of the Jedi. And about colors and shapes.

Being a sourpuss is a path to the Dark side!

Ender is about as tall as the real Yoda, but has better posture.

Happy to have Mommy at his school to help with the Halloween parade!

He enjoyed pushing his classmates in the parade.

Use the F=m·a...

How many Muppets can you spot in this video?

Ender and the Pussycats*.
*his teachers

The peanut butter cup is Reese, the little girl that Ender sometimes smooches in class.

After the parade he traded in his pointy green ears for some round furry ones.

A duel to the death at the church Halloween party!

A stalemate, and a truce...

Wearing this silly costume finally pays off!

Look mom, they're just handing this stuff out!

You see how he cleverly works the con to double-up on his candy?

Fighting over the candy bar we won for having the fifth best costumes at the party!

We didn't paint his face for the costume, but if we had, this is what he would have looked like.

pantshead

Pants for a hat certainly isn't as funny as grandma's wig, but in these economic times, you have to work with what you've got.

The cleft...
Now that he's getting bigger, he's able to really open it up. It's weird, and we're getting it fixed next month.

How do you like my new pants?

I'm ready for my closeup!

Amy is teaching him Spanish.

Ender prefers to sleep with a dirty bottle, rather than a teddy bear like other kids. We don't question it, we just hope it's mildly eccentric behavior that comes with being a supergenius.

learning to play to the camera

Baby Ender is getting old enough to realize that when the camera is on him, it's time to ham it up!

In this one he's honing his wizarding skills, and trying to cast a spell on this rubber ball (it was just plain blue before he started).

He's reached that age when he knows he's supposed to smile for the camera, but he's not old enough to know that this kind of smile just makes him look crazy.

He holds his own bottle most of the time these days, and sometimes he drinks himself under the table.

Daddy's a big copycat!

He's getting a lot more vocal these days. His favorite word is mamamamama, and dadadadada is helping him say it really fast for gramamamamama.

the enemy's gate is down

Ender learned a new dangerous trick, and even came up with a funny face to go with it.

baby talking tongue roller

Ender has been making all kinds of leaps toward becoming a real boy during the past few weeks! He's almost ready to start crawling, and he constantly baby-talks with his one word vocabulary. Mamamamama...

What should any good parent do when they find their child asleep in a big fluffy snowsuit?

Put shoes on his face, of course!

How many ways can you tell that Daddy was in charge when this picture was taken?

Ender is sitting up on his own these days!

Bathtime is a lot more fun now that he can sit up.

Ender also sticks his tongue out at everyone and everything... he's out to lick the whole world!

Any time, any place. If he's happy, his tongue is out, or he's talking to himself.

He has that "Oooo... that looks like it would be fun to lick!" look in his eyes again.

He's also fascinated with his little ears. Here he is checking to see if his lucky ear is still where he left it.

He's almost crawling. He can rotate on his tummy, but mostly he just rolls around the room.

Here's a video compilation of some of his recent babyness.

ender wiggin'

You would have done the same thing if you had access to a wig, a baby, and a camera.

What is Grandma's other hair doing on my head?

A three generation picture... sort of.

C'mon Dad... it's a little early to get dressed-up for Halloween, don't you think?

I may look pretty, but I feel silly!
