early summer 2011

This is what we did the first half of our summer...

Ender went with his dad to the Fathers and Sons campout.
He obviously didn't care much for the churchy fireside.

Someone wisely brought glow-sticks for the kids, which was tons of fun for them, and helped us track them down when they ran off into the darkness!

Ender was so excited (not pictured here) to wear his little backpack that he wouldn't take it off the whole time.

He even slept in his backpack!

For Memorial Day we went to the beach, where Ender was stalked by a news crew who thought he looked adorable in that hat.

And Chloe looked just as cute in her little beach hat!

Her favorite thing about the beach was that she could use the sea stones as teething tools.

A long day at the beach means a long nap in the car on the way home.

In an effort to culture our children, or whatever, we took them to The Cloisters.

Cousin Aubreigh stayed with the kids this summer, and she enjoyed pondering the gardens there at The Cloisters.

We tried to take a nice family picture, but this was the best that a band of misfits like us were able to manage.
